5 FVR Vs Series | Speed of Sound Series which is good for Lead Trumpet, Amplified Music, and Pit Work. |
5 FVR J6 Series | J6 Series which is good for Lead Trumpet, Amplified Music, and Pit Work. It has more "core" to the sound than the Vs. Some say it requires a little bit more air than our Vs Series. |
Max Matzen –
I could probably write an entire testimonial about this mouthpiece!
This was a match made in heaven. I was playing on a Bach 1.5C mouthpiece for a very long time, and then had a consultation with KO. He had me try various things and I settled on something that felt EXACTLY right … and I didn’t look at the numbers on the mouthpiece. Everything was right .. the color could be bright or not-so-bright if I wanted, articulation was right on the money (4.5 coupler) and things were way easier with flexibility and range. It felt like home to me (I was a 1.5C guy for years and years) … and it was this 5FVR mouthpiece. I still can’t believe it’s smaller! Then to make it even better I tried it on my C, and Eb/D trumpets (after some small adjustments with couplers) and it felt great on each of them.
In a nutshell, it’s the best mouthpiece I’ve ever tried or owned.
