Mt. Vernon Bach 5 Rim – Inner Diameter = .655″ (16.64 mm)
Our 5 GVR is extremely popular for commercial lead players and pit work.

Players coming from a Bach 5C or equivalent report our Flex 5 GVR is 10-30% easier to play with better intonation and a more resonant sound.
This is due to our advanced acoustic design and Flex Alloy.

5 GVR J6 Series

J6 Series which is good for Lead Trumpet, Amplified Music, and Pit Work. It has more "core" to the sound than the Vs. Some say it requires a little bit more air than our Vs Series.

5 GVR Vs Series

Speed of Sound Series which is good for Lead Trumpet, Amplified Music, and Pit Work.

5 GVR 5 Series

Great all around Series. Very good for Jazz Trumpet, Brass Quintet, wedding, and Orchestral including C Trumpet.

I have two versions of this piece; the Vs and the J6. The J6 gives me a massive sound. It takes some gas to light it up but the sound is great. Perfect for lead solo/feature work; the thicker core on the sound can be unbalanced in a section, though, if you’re pushing it. The Vs really pops and is perfect for lead section work. Both are easier to play, more in tune, and have a more consistent sound through the registers than any lead piece I’ve previously owned. I highly recommend either of these (or better yet, get both!).
