When I switched to a 3GVR it instantly solved several playing problems I was having. Articulations got much better and my tone got better too! Plus it is a comfortable rim – for me it is the perfect balance between comfort and control. However the best part is having the resource of the Stomvi staff – they will work with you to find a mouthpiece that works for you.

The Flex 3 GVR J6 series was everything K.O (and the website) described – and I’m thoroughly impressed with the craftsmanship, packaging, service, not to mention the product: the 3 rim turned out to be a great fit for me, and the evenness of sound, ease of playability are excellent!! I’m also a fan of the couplers – when I dialled in the right one (for me it’s the 4.5) everything aligned – intonation, range, continuity of sound and articulations!
Yes, it’s still a trumpet, and no mouthpiece is the magic solution or replacement of hard work…BUT…as the website states – it is easier! 🙂

KO really knocked it out the park on this one. This is probably my favorite, most versatile mouthpiece of all time (and I’ve certainly owned my share of various types of mouthpieces). Very efficient and responsive (especially with the J6 series). I use this for just about everything from Brass Quintet to Jazz playing. I can even do some lower level lead (or horn section work) on it without too much difficulty.

K.O. was very helpful with recommending a mouthpiece for my playing needs. The 3GVR J6 improved my articulation, endurance, flexibility, range, dynamics, and tone. It was such an improvement over my old mouthpiece, that it took me several days to learn how to play the 3GVR J6 without so much tension! Ultimately this mouthpiece allows me to produce beautiful music with more efficiency.
