I have to say that the 3CVR Flex mouthpiece is really and truly the best mouthpiece I have ever used. The cup is extremely efficient, allowing me to just relax and play. I am able to play with a sound that is as dark as anyone would ever need, then also open up and play with a bright sound, the available palate is simply amazing! Intonation is spot on with the 3CVR Flex, the improvement is obvious on any key trumpet I use the mouthpiece on, and the improved resonance is simply fantastic!
In addition, I asked KO to put my long time favorite rim on the piece, and the work he did is simply amazing! My sincere thanks to both KO and Jon for helping me find my way to this equipment, you guys truly have the most outstanding customer service I have ever experienced. I recently asked KO for a cup with slightly more volume than my usual and favorite 3C cup. He was happy to help me come up with a solution, and the cup/backbore combination he made for me is amazing!
The new piece has just enough more volume to give me the sound quality and blow I was looking for and, the custom work KO did cutting and threading my favorite rim to the Flex cup is absolutely perfect!
