Modern Concepts
The demands on trumpet players have steadily increased over the years. Until the 1970’s, there were only a few high note artists. Today high school students are expected to play in the upper register (above high C). In addition, orchestral seasons are longer. The first full time orchestras didn’t appear untl the mid 1960s. Performance halls have gotten larger, and virtually all orchestras have a pop series, placing more range and endurance demands on the entire trumpet section. All trumpet players must now compete with amplified instruments and often have no (or insufficient) monitors.
In response to the above, Stomvi USA has developed trumpets and mouthpieces that give you more sound for less work. From our extremely affordable S1 to our flagship VRII and Titan series, all of our instruments feature in tune air columns which result in great pitch and slotting along with full, resonant sounds.
Our Flex mouthpieces are extremely easy to play. They have advanced cup and backbore shapes which result in efficient energy transfer from your lips into and through the horn. In other words, the energy you produce is amplified and not lost. You’ll enjoy a full resonant sound that fills the room.
