I am a freelance professional trumpet player in the UK. I’ve been playing a Stomvi Master trumpet for 18 months now. It is the greatest trumpet I’ve ever played and adaptable to all the styles I play including orchestral, chamber music, jazz, salsa and commercial music. Since buying this instrument I know of at least two other professionals who’ve gone out and bought a Stomvi too!

I have been using these horns for the past 4 years. I have used them in almost every application thinkable and have never regretted my choice. To this day I haven’t played a horn that has made me think twice about switching from my Master Bb or Elite.

Most trumpets I’ve played that claimed to be versatile have been jack-of-all-trades trumpets – they can fit into multiple situations, but don’t absolutely excel at any of them. But the Stomvi Master series is the absolute king of TRUE versatility. I don’t care what I’m playing, with all the options on the Master there’s a configuration that’s perfect for it.

Add to that the fact that this instrument truly is, to me at least, “simply easier to play”, and this trumpet’s an absolute monster. As a comeback player now starting to play regular gigs, having a great instrument like this to practice on just makes it that much easier to keep up with practicing and moving forward – most nights once I pick the instrument up, I can’t bring myself to put it back down until I’m too tired to play anymore.

Like Hugo, I haven’t played a horn since I got this one that’s made me regret my decision or want to switch. Simply a fantastic horn!

  4. Clifford Beckley

For me, it’s the best that money can buy. There’s a reason you can spend hours testing Bachs before you find a good one. There’s a reason you don’t see many of these for sale, used. They’re excellent. I’ll never buy another trumpet (unless it’s one of these). All of my horns, now, are Stomvi Masters. Don’t compromise on quality, Stomvi doesn’t.
